When Veeam takes a backup copy of a VM from an ESXi, does it Quiesce the file system?
The reason I ask is that my boss wants to start doing backups of our non-quiesce aware file-based databases (FoxPro and MS Access mdb), and while you would think this would be a simple file copy, you actually have to make sure there is nobody in the database before you make a copy, or backup will be bad.
Now supposedly all the users (with their remote access) are to be out of the database by the time Veeamtakes a backup copy, but of course with users you can NEVER guarantee this to be the case, unless there was some sort of a script that emails the admin when users are detected while the Veeam backup is attempting to run.
P.S. I don't know if it's just called Veeam, Veeam 8, or VeeamOne. Sorry my "home game" isn't setup yet.
