A question has come up by support about the number of backup devices I have configured. I have 3 storage devices configured which are 3 different shares on a NAS. Each server and critical workstation has its own backup device configured, which each is on one of the 3 storage devices. This is a total of 28 backup devices in addition to the default one.
I guess this is mostly a holdover to how I am used to Backup Exec doing backup to disk.
My question is, does any one else use a backup device per server and workstation?
My concern/thought is that if all servers and/or workstations backups are heaped into one pot, it will get messy with a lot of files.
