Hi, I currently work for a high school and it is my first job in IT. So I've been recently tasked with setting up there backup solution and I am in over my head. I've been doing plenty of research about all sorts of backup solutions and have learned a lot but I need some advice if I'm doing the right thing. So we are currently running Backup Exec 2014 (I know) but our hardware solution failed recently and we are looking to replace it. So I've talked to HP and they recommended an HP Store Easy 1640 or a HP Store Once 2700, but both seem very expensive for the small amount of space they provide (about 5 terabytes). I've been starting to look into QNAP's lineup and I am considering getting the TS-879U-RP. But one of the issues I've run into is that deduplication is a must in our environment and Backup Exec's hardware compatibility list...
