Hey all, I already have another backup thread going but starting another one for a different type of use, it seems there is a new brood of backup/DR/BCP providers....namely Datto and Quorum.
As I understand it, both sort of backup everything in your environment onto an onsite appliance of theirs and basically creates a virtual image of the servers (physical and virtual) that can be turned on on their appliance itself should a server/SAN/esx host/whatever go down. They can also replicate to another equivalent box at their datacenter for DR capabilities. It's quite neat actually.
So does anyone use Datto or Quorum? or another provider that does something similar?
I have had a great experience with Quorum sales staff but not so much with Datto, so I am definitely taking that into consideration.
Anyone have experience with either of these?...
