Just installed my first Production BE 2014. Coming off a trial version that had been in place for nearly the full 60 days allowed.
A couple of very small niggles in the process which I'll cover in a different post. This post however is about removing previously backed up servers from BE's 'memory'
During the trial period a number of different VM's got exposed to BE, some got backed up, some didn't, but in any event, those testing VM's are gone now but BE still lists them as 'servers' which have to have licences...the reality is that 3 servers are licensed for backup and indeed 3 servers _are_ being backed up, but every day I get an alert that licensing is not in order and that I need to visit Symantec to buy more.
I'm ignoring it for now - seems like the backups are not affected - but I hate getting alerts that are not real. Smells of the...
