I am doing a quick check. I have been using the Carbonite personal plan for the past three years and like the product overall. I have a reseller account and have a number of client's using it.
However, recently the internet connections in our town have changed from ADSL to Fiber which is great. But I notice a downfall with Carbonite Personal.
Although it is unlimited storage Carbonite has a bandwidth restrictions for uploading data, which limit upload to 2 Mbit/s for the first 200 GB. After 200GB it is then slowed to only 100 kbit/s . So getting mass amounts of data over 200GB can take a very long time.
I am looking for a competitive product. Australian data centers would be preferred however international is fine as it is just a backup service not live working data.
Any suggestions would be great
