I am looking for a backup solution that can extend the functionality of what we have now. At this moment we use StorageCraft ShadowProtect to backup the Windows Servers to a Synology NAS, the NAS backup is copied to USB disks to take off-site. We have been using Shadowprotect for many years now and we are extremly happy with it in general, as it can do many things and it does them fast and reliably.
This is what we have right now:
- Local backup to NAS
- Weekly full's
- Hourly incrementals
- Quiescing of Exchange/SQL
- Bare Metal Restore
- Restore to different hardware
- Offsite backup to USB disk
This is what we want to have in addition to what we have now:
- Offsite backup to remote NAS
- Incremental Forever
- In file delta
- Compression
- Guaranteed integrity of the files in the backup files from at most one week ago, by design. So whithout needing to...
