When i setup a desktop of laptop and try to do a push, the system cannot seem to find the host without the me putting in the optional IP address below the host name. The weird part is if I ssh into the UEB appliance I am able to ping by host name and resolve the ip address without a problem. I noticed that when I do place the optional IP address in the field then an entry is made to the hosts file. Does this mean as these clients have their IP change I am going to have problems with backups? How do you handle desktop and laptop backups?
