We are looking at upgrading our current backup system and are really leaning to an EMC DataDomain. EMC is quoting out their Networker software, which looks fine, but they've also said that DataDomain works just as well (with a few exceptions) in a VMware environment with Backup Exec.
We are currently running Backup Exec, and I'm familiar with it. The Networker software quote was a bit eyewatering.
Anybody have experience with both, and is it worth the premium for Networker?
