I recently had a bad hard drive on my DPM Server and I needed to reinstall the OS. It has Windows 2008 Standard R2.
The problem is when I try to install DPM, it goes through all the stages but at the end it says "The SQL Server 2008 installation failed. Manually install SQL Server 2008".
When I try to install it directly from the setup folder on the disk it states that it needs ".NET Framework 3.5 SP1" which was installed by the DPM Software. I've removed it and installed it by adding it through the Server Manager but I get the same result.
I have local admin privileges. I did the exact process on another server recently without a hitch. I've also reinstalled the OS just in case.
Any direction would be appreciated.
