Will pooling Backup Exec devices cause issues with current backups

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for your time and help in the matter.

We are running Backup Exec 2010 R3 Version 13.0 Revision 5204 64Bit and need to move all our backups to Device Pools.

Some back up are currently in a Device Pool and other just point to a drive.

My concern when creating and adding all the drives to a Device Pool and changing all the backups over to this Pool is will this mess up the current backups and will it loose the back up associations if we need to restore something?
