Hope someone can answer - I have been looking at the generous Free edition of Unitrends. I can't seem to finds an answer about its ability to back up VMs from an ESXi 5.1 Free edition host.
To do that (given lack of backup APIs in ESXi Free) the backup would need to be done using a guest OS level agent (i.e. treating the guest as though it were a physical machine from a Unitrends perspective.)
My question - does the free edition allow agent based backups from ESXi Free?
