I am running VMware's Vsphere essentials with 2 hosts and 4 vm's right now. I just purchased Trilead's VM Explorer. I have scheduled backups w/ incrementals for 2 of the guests. I have had to use the shutdown feature to allow for proper backup, One of the backups is working perfectly having first completing the full backup it started on the incrementals great! The second does not. It is backing up to the same location, just the starting point is a manual backup performed a couple of weeks ago, this back up was performed on the fly.
My question is, do I need to perform a scheduled full backup before it will start the incrementals?
