Quantum Superloader 3 drive assessment test failed

Hi

I just need some advice, we bought quantum Superloader 3 years ago it is out of warranty. We are using Retrospect 7.6 for backup and since three years it is working fine. Retrospect start marking Tape s as bad media or write error.

Superloader have HP drive so I have run the HP L&TT diagnostic test, it passed the read/write test but failed drive assessment test.

I have contacted Quantum and they are asking too much money, anybody have idea if we can buy drive from some where or somebody do repair in UK.
