Interesting situation, Dell sent me a quote for our AppAssure support renewal and the price seemed excessive. Basically netting dell $400+ per hour of actual support received over the past year(I know its for support and maintenance) I told them that the price was too high and a few weeks later received another quote that was much more reasonable. So I thought, hey they came to their senses. So I called them up and renewed. I thought I was all set, and I was actually happy that they capitulated and lowered the price for support.
However, it turns out that they just ignored my reply, and the 2nd quote was for "another group" of licenses, and that we get no support until we pay up for the first quote in addition to the one we already paid for.
So does everyone charge this much for support and maintenance? Is Veem in the the same ballpark per vhost? I'm paying almost $500 per vhost server per year for support costs with AppAssure.
