Hi Lads and Lasses,
I keep getting Backup failures due to low disk space on my iSCSI LUN. Specifically my file server/DC. (As it is, it takes 27 hours to take a master copy, with compression and Deduplication).
So to counteract the apparent free capacity issue, I have gone to my NAS and expanded the iSCSI LUN. However, when I try to refresh the storage, the free space doesn't update. How does this get updated?
I have expanded the LUN out to 8TB (now I can't shrink it to reclaim space, but that's a different issue for later today.) and UEB still says that I only have 750GB free and I can't seem to get it to refresh/update the amount of free space. The capacity/Size updates when I take the storage offline and bring it online again (Settings--> Storage andRetention --> Storage--> Online?), just not the free space. I have taken the storage offline several times, manually adjusted the backup device, rebooted the UEB vAppliance and rebooted the NAS. Still no joy.
Very oddly, when I go to the NAS, the iSCSI LUN still says that it has 1.95 TB of used space out of 7.81 TB available to the LUN.
Also, when I take the NAS offline (Settings--> Storage andRetention --> Storage--> Online?) and "Modify" the settings I receive the below error (by "Modify" I, of course mean, click the refresh buttons and then hit confirm)
Summary: Error communicating with system.
Cause: Call was unsuccessful.
Detail: [System] Failed to edit storage information.
What do I do now? I can't find anything in the Administrators guide but maybe my state of panic is causing "solution blindness".
Details:
