Received a notice earlier from Unitrends Support about a new ticket being opened, then a little later I received the following email:

  • Our Valued Customer,

    Unitrends experienced a hardware malfunction on a portion of our vault that serves as your replication target. While the data on the vault has been retained in the event that a customer should need it, our best course of action for future replication is to complete a new rapid seed. A Unitrends Engineer will be reaching out to you to provide a free RapidSeed service to ensure your latest data is quickly updated to Vault2Cloud. In addition, Unitrends will be waiving any fees associated with the current month’s Vault2Cloud service for impacted customers.

*mind blown* Unitrends takes an unfortunate incident and immediately addresses the root problem, offers complimentary services to put us back on track AND waives the monthly cost... Some companies just "get it."
