If I want to do a couple "simple" things in a small environment, do I need to buy one of these big packages? Have a dell 1950 dual quad core running esxi 5.x. It has one virtual machine (which happens to be XP prof). I want to:
1. Make a copy (ISO?) of the virtual machine (I'd like to be able to just select that copy in case of a problem so I could pick up with what is running right now--I'll solve the data update issue separately)
2. Expand the properties of the current VM (specifically, increase 40 gb allocation to 250 gb), or
3. Create another virtual machine on same server to use for storage
4. Make a copy of virtual machine and export to my asus laptop (running win 7 ultimate) and run as virtual machine on the asus
