I am looking for some help with Windows Server Backup, while I await getting one of the above mentioned backup solutions. If needed I can post this as a separate question in the forums so let me know your thoughts but, well here it is. Current backup set-up is Windows SBS & Exchange backing up to 1 external hard drive dedicated for backup. I have another external drive with 4 separate shared folders setup on it and I have Windows Server backups scheduled for 4 different servers at different times to backup each to one of the folders. The issue I am having with it though is the backups seem to be hit or miss on the "backup to shared folder" backups. Error shows as unable to connect to remote share but yet every time I verify if I can connect to it directly and by the path I am able to. I have been playing around with the settings and the schedule times but have thus far been unsuccessful in finding a working solution. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or has setup something similar before? Complete Error Below:
The backup operation that started at '2013-05-29T13:55:51.824040200Z' has failed with following error code '0x8078015B' (Windows Backup encountered an error when accessing the remote shared folder. Please retry the operation after making sure that the remote shared folder is available and accessible.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved.
I have tried deleting and recreating the share but no luck. So far all my research of the error has not yielded anything. Thanks in advance for you guy's help.
