Unitrends NFR License and Private Cloud Vaulting/replication

Hi,

We have installed the Unitrends UEB with the beautiful NFR license at our office. We have two servers, each on VMWare ESX 5.x, with the VMWare essentials purchased license. One server is SBS 2011 running Active Directory and Exchange 2010. One server is SBS 2011 premium running SQL 2008.

Unitrends tech support (thank you Michael) was very helpful in getting us past some install issues and making a recommendation of a Monthly VMware Full, Daily Differential, 4 hour incremental (2x day) backup schedule.

However, when it comes to making use of the "private cloud" feature that is supposed to be available with the NFR license, everyone became a little uncertain about licensing and installation.

Would the proper setup be a second instance of the UEB (NFR License) at my offsite location that is the replication/vaulting target for the onsite server? My offsite location is not a "live" location - just a disaster recovery safe house.

I can't think of how else this would be setup, but i have heard conflicting information about the ability to have a two NFR installation. On the other hand, how can I do the "private cloud" install that is listed under the NFR license information with the second install?

Thanks

Chris Huntley
