Hello,
We have taken on a new client whose main (and only server) is a HP ML350 G6 with two quad core Xeon CPUs and 16GB ram. It runs as a VMWare server with two guest OSs - SBS2008 and Win 2008 STD. Having looked into their backup they basically didn't have any, hadn't run successfully at all this year. The device they were trying to use is a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ with 1TB storage (2 x 1TB with Raid 1). Having started a backup of the server it quickly became evident that due to the amount of data to be backed up, approx. 200GB there simply wasn't enough time to do a full backup of the server.
I'm thinking about getting a couple of 1 TB USB3 external drives (hopefully I can get a USB3 card for the server) and back things up this way.
Is there a more straightforward plan ?
Cheers
Gavin
