Just want to share that I'm having a good experience using Altaro BackupFS

I needed a low cost way to backup 500GB (file share drive) offsite to our new colocation space.

Tried DFS-R didn't need all that as this is for backup

Tried BackupAssist-worked well and almost bought it but I download and tried Altaro BackupFS.

Altaro is fast, does incremental , VSS, etc

Also I can add a 2nd drive to "replicate" to.

Here's what I'm doing.

Load BackupFS on my file server. Configure it to backup up to another local Windows 2008R2 server ( so I can have local backups handy). I then configured BackupFS to replicate from there to another Windows 2008R2 server at our Colo (it's not at the colo yet).

The backup to the local server is running now-and has been for 1 hr and I've backed up 120GB+
