Hi Everyone,
I have decided to abandon the Incremental Forever strategy due to the nature of my data, it just wasn't the most effective schedule when trying to use deduplication, etc.
I deleted all of my schedules and re-created them using the Full with Incrementals option. I set a Differential backup to run right before the backups are archived, due to the fact that file-based incrementals are not archived.
Despite the fact that I have the schedule set this way, the appliance is continuing to produce synthetic differentials that are wasting the space on my appliance.
Has anyone else run into this or know of a way to turn it off?
Thanks!
