I have Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2012 R2 for backups. Currently all my servers have the DPM agent installed locally to backup file level items and that part is working as expected.
I've been working on creating protection groups for my HyperV hosts in order to have full VM backups stored in the Azure cloud for DR purposes. I have the Azure part setup with no issues.
When doing some test restores, I noticed the ability to do file level restores from the HyperV host backups was not available. After some research it should be possible according to this Microsoft KB:
