I am trying to figure out a good plan to replicate my data (4 TB) to a secondary location. As part of this my manager is wondering how other people move their data off site.
- Do you guys copy all your data to another office or do you copy it to a data center somewhere?
- Do you have a server setup as your backup target so you can run/test your backups at the remote location? Or do you just have a target to store all your data?
- How much information do you keep at the remote location (1 day, 1 week, longer?)
- How do you test your backups?
- If you had to restore all your data how would you do it?

Main office:
50 Mb internet connection
Weekly backups go off site via tape
Total backup set 4 TB
Daily incremental 200-250 GB
