Recovery Appliances and SQL 2014

So, MSSQL 2014 was released on Apr 1 (that's nearly 7.5 months ago as of this writing), and apparently it's still not supported for backup with my Recovery appliance. Not only that, but apparently Support has no information about when it will be supported. Here's an excerpt from my chat today.

Me:Hi Dan! I've got a 2014 SQL Server that I need to protect with my Recovery 823

Dan G:May I have your asset tag and release version?

Me:823-XXX-XXXXX

7.5.0-6.2014102917

Dan G:Awesome, thanks for that. Unfortuantely,we don't support SQL2014 yet.

Me:is there an estimated timeframe for support?

Dan G:All I have at this time is that it's on the road map and they're working on it. We haven't been given any further information regarding this.

Now, I can excuse not being able to auto-deploy the agent to 2012R2 boxes, but actually being able to do a backup is...
