Randomly, I thought to myself the other day "Most, if not all IT admins have been faced with data loss at some point in their career. What would be classed as an unacceptable loss of data? to the point that the admin would be dismissed from work?".
I personally always put backups, patches and AV deployments as my top priority and thankfully (largely due to my anxiety over retaining backups) have never been faced with a data loss which I've not been able to restore, but was curious to know when a data loss would be deemed unacceptable. 1 file? 3 folders? 100MB? 2GB? 4TB? etc. where does the marker start from?
Any stories from experience would be welcome too
