I'm hoping to find correct way of doing this or some guidance if I configured this incorrectly.
I'm running ESXi 5.5 ( Enterprise Plus ) on a pair of HP DL380 G8, one of them hosts the VMs, other one is running the UEB ( Spice Works Edition ) and some test machines. I'm very delighted with overall abilities of Unitrends, especially when thinking of a free product .
I have a HPStoreEver LTO-6 Ultrium 6250tape drive connected to the HBA on the host that I have no issues with seeing this in vCenter , attaching to the UEB machine and also seeing this drive in Archive Settings and setting it to enable.
When I try to prepare the disk I get " Device has no tape loaded" thus failing to archive , I have already tested with another tape , also tested the drive with Backup Exec that we can actually write to these tapes.
Anyone ran into the same...
