We have a file server that is Server 2003. We have a Synology DS412+ that I got for the reason of backing up the Data from the different shares on the Server 2003. I have the Cobian Backup on the Server 2003 set to do every night. We have the server backs going to another location but right now I am more concerned about the data. Three full copies and differentials fill the server up. Having that fourth copy stops everything.
My problem is that Cobian Backup is not removing the fourth backup copy from the NAS. I have checked the settings. I updated the firmware of the NAS but there is no options that will work that I can see. I tried a cron job but when I went to run it, it was not succesful and the logs were not helpful as to why it failed.
Do any of you have thoughts on this? I was looking at Backup Exc but I have heard negative...
