Data folder on Backup Exec server way too big?

Hi Guys,

I am using backup exec 2012 and it looks like the "Data" folder under "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data" is increasing in space every night... It has pretty huge XML files in the location.. biggest file is about 700 MB!

The Catalogs folder "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Catalogs" is fairly good and I dont have issues with that, my question is that can I delete some of the xml files in the data folder and if I do will it affect the ability to restore when the time comes? and first of all can i delete these xml files in the first place?
