I've had a very hard time understanding the support answers from Vembu regarding their new BDR solution.
Is it correct that offsite replication can only go to Amazon, and that the only way to restore is to send all the data back to the client site?
Does it have a means to use Amazon's cloud servers, and how would it do that?
We want to replicate client backups into our data center, but Vembu doesn't support that anymore. So, before I completely give up on the product, what is the restore process of the replicated backup at Amazon?
We create very large backups, several hundred GB per server, and our relationship with our clients, mean we need to have those replicated backups created in our data center, not at Amazon.
If Vembu can't support our solution, do anyone out there have any suggestions.
