We are reevaluating our backup software. We're currently using Syncsort BEX 3.4 and if we continue using Syncsort will upgrade to DPX 4.3.
Each of our 5 large offices have NetApp SAN's as their primary storage that consists of nfs and cifs shares. Also, each office has a clustered blade setup running vSphere 5. We have a total of about 55 virtual machines and a total of about 20 physical servers. We are mostly a windows shop but have a few linux servers as well.We take advantage of block level backups that Syncsort has to offer. This works very well, especially on our exchange 2010 server which is a virtual machine. We also like the mailbox recovery feature that Syncsort has. Some of our physical linux boxes backup at file level.
I'm just curious to know what backup software other companies are using. In particular, what backs up...
