Hi everyone,
I want to offer my customers an offsite backup solution which I can host at our premises. We have spare dedicated IP addresses on a 20Mbps up/down line - which can easily be increased to 100Mbps in both directions.
My dream is to sell my customers a NAS drive that will take local backups and then incrementally backup the data to a central storage box at our premises. Hardware is not a problem, we have plenty of that and I can easily get a 20 something TB server built. But I need to find some ideas as to what software I could use to do this.
I don't really want to pay a subscription to a software vendor, I'd rather purchase some software once. Maybe we could use some kind of R Sync server?
Has anyone else done something similar?
Would appreciate any feedback.
