We already use Comvault and I can sum it up with "Love the product, hate the price".
However, Commvault have just changed their licensing model meaning you can now license vSphere hosts per socket - and it's cheap, as in really cheap.
It could potentially save us a packet if we could backup VM's that we currently backup using a File System agent for granularity, with a vSphere level backup that still provides for file level recovery.
My concern is size - once we migrate our file servers to VMDK they will be anything between 1TB and 10TB in size and I've simply no idea how well Commvault handles VM backups of this size.
Does anyone have any experience please?
