Hi all
First off, I will explain my setup and then my question might make more sense...
Two sites, in geographically different locations, linked by VPN. Both have 20MB up/down fibre. Each site has a full backup size of about 1TB. (I am looking closely at what is actually necessary in this 1TB so may be able to slim it down.) Currently performing a full tape backup daily that stretches on into the next morning.
We have just purchased 4x QNAP TS-669 Pro 18TB NAS boxes, set to RAID5, giving 13.5TB of storage on each. The idea being that we have a master on each site, which is replicated to the slave on the other site.
What I want to do is have a years worth of daily recovery points on the NAS but I don't know how I can achieve this with the space that I have. I have heard of Incremental forever, but I don't know if Arcserve r16.5 can handle...
