I have a client that has an old CNC machine running on an old MS Dos based system. I believe the bios is Ameritrends, 1992. I'm not sure of DOS version, but I need to make an image of the hard drive. It's an old IDE Type 47 hard drive that is recognized by the bios.
The system has access to another IDE on the controller card that is plugged into the motherboard, however I don't have access to an old IDE hard drive that is 150 MB of less. And there's no USB, just a 3.5 floppy drive.
The client wants to back up the hard drive in case of a drive failure so he has a backup. I was thinking of using GHOST for DOS to do the image, however I dont know whether to find an old CDRW that I can use with DOS drivers to make the image or maybe find an old IDE hard drive to make the image to save for later if needed.
