I have an issue where running a backup causes an application crash on a virtual machine that I would like to get some advice on. Here is the situation:
On one of our hosts there is a virtual machine that is used for our dispatching software. This vm is a win svr 2008 R2 machine. On a second vm that is running windows 7 is the paging system for the dispatching software. Actually it's a shortcut to the paging system as the files that are used are located with all the dispatching software files.
The paging system is opened in aseparatevmbecause in order for it to work there needs to be a paging user that is logged in at all times. When the backup runs (using BackupAssist) the paging system on the paging vm crashes. I check event viewer and I find an application error that occurred the same time the backup on the host ran.
