AppAssure "The transfer of the backup of 'C;\; D:\' on server failed

I'm receiving this error on one of my legacy Win2k3 SQL servers.

I've reregistered the VSS dll's.  I've increased the VSS cache.  I'm not sure what else to do.

Running AppAssure 5.4.1.77 Core and Client.
