Seems I've racked my Noodle onthis enough and should bring it to the experts. I'm using Novastor Currentlyfor nightly backups of two physical servers. I use USB Drives switched outweekly for the storage portion. Until recently I had all 4 the same model andbrand, WD 2TB MyBooks. One of which got dropped during transport from theowners home. I have two replacements, one Toshiba and one Seagate,
So just after the one drivegets the express meeting of the ground, I swap it out for the Seagate to takeits place. I start getting VSS errors. (Keep in mind I do not realize theconnection between the drives and the VSS errors. that comes later.) Withsupport from NovaStor I do the standard check this, check that, send us yourevent logs, rebuild your VSS writers, yadda yadda yadda. so during all the trythat and this I set secondary job...
