I know that this has been asked alot, but cant find a solution that suits our needs. I think this should be divided into two parts. Hardware and then Software. The environment is non-virtual.
The servers:
Server #1 (Windows Server): ~30TB
This is the work-server, meaning that our artists works on the files on the networkfolder. And this should be backed up incremental each night.
Server #2 (Windows Server): ~5TB
Files on this server is rarely changed. This one acts as WDS and a "general"-storage.
Server #3 (Windows Server): ~20TB
This is an second work-server on a different location, for the artists at that location. This should also be backed up each night
Backup-Server (Windows 7): ~36TB
Located on a remote-location.
Raid6 21*2TB + 2Global HotSpares. The hdds are Toshiba MK2002TSKB.
