At my company i'm currently breaking my head over how to handle my backups.
Currently every server has its own external 4TB harddisk, and makes full VSS backups by using the standard Windows Server Backup, So far it works great. we can recover files which are lost, or changed.
The thing is. This was just a temporary situation while moving from XP to 7. What we want is to make backups to a remote location, I've looked in different ways. but the main problem is that Windows Server Backup, does not use shadowcopy's if you back it up to something else than a dedicated harddisk.
I'm not sure what kind of device to use on the remote's end. NAS, server or ..?. and how to keep the option of shadowcopy's, Also making full backups to a remote location wouldn't work because our internet is only 30Mbit's up.
Also i'm not sure how recovery works...
