I would like to get some feedback from people who work in the healthcare industry to get ideas for remote backup services that are HIPAA compliant. I have been looking into using Microsoft's DPM 2012 R2 with a subscription to Azure, but I have yet to run this idea by my legal counsel to get their thoughts.
We only have one datacenter. My main concern is backing up document management files (images and metadata), user data, and an encrypted Oracle dump file each night.
