Veeam backup

Hey guys,

I'm running a couple virtual servers that I need to implement a backup system for. The system my company is currently using is a joke. I just bought two (x2) Synology ds214 enclosures and four (x4) Deskstar 4tb NAS drives.

Each NAS enclosure will be stored at a different company location. One will be the veeam repository for our virtual server backups and the other will take a backup of the repository.

I was planning on running them in Raid1, but that won't give me the kind of space I want. What do you guys think of either configuring them to be two separate drives, vs raid 0?

What would you do with this setup to get the most storage space while still creating reliable redundancy?
