We have a manufacturing site that has multiple industrial PC's to run machinery. Each PC runs Windows XP or Windows 7 with custom software that was installed by the vendor.
As part of our disaster recovery plan we have spare hardware and Clonezilla images of each of the devices. Over the years, we've had numerous hard disk failures which has led to downtime. Of course, the image files have helped to get things up and running again fairly quickly but I want it to be faster!
I'd like to be able to PXE boot and select an image from a menu and blast it back on to a new hard drive. This would speed up recovery and I could teach our maintenance guys on site to replace the hard drive and perform the recovery themselves.
Can Clonezilla server / FOG do this?
