Currently my Exchanger Server is being backed up as a VMware Virtual Machine (Without Application aware backup).
This is because at the moment the Exchange Database backup is being handled by Backup Exec. This is going to stop by the End of June when we will become a fully Unitrends Backup Office.
I need to decide whether to continue backing up the Exchange Server as a VM and start using Application aware Backup or to change the backup to (like a) Physical Backup using the Agent. If I chose the Physical Backupdo I need to setup 2 schedules. One for the Machine and One for the Exchange Database Backup? Or will setting up a schedule for the machine also backup the databases.
Is anyone using the VM Backup with application aware backup of Exchange. If so How are you finding it. What are the Pro's and Con's of the 2 methods.
