Opinion: Retrospect Client or Folder Redirection?

I would love to hear anyone's experienced opinion on our workstation backup dilemma. Here's what we're looking at:

• Desire file backups only (no bare metal)
  
• About 70 Windows 7 PCs (handful of laptops) across a handful of remote offices (all SSDs)
  
• Majority of users in one main office, other offices connected via VPN
  
• Synology NAS w/RAID 1 (actually an ioSafe), but could move to Window's File Server(s)
  

We've narrowed down our options to the following two choices:

1. Retrospect Client, installed on each PC, reports to a backup server
   
2. Folder Redirection, with Offline Files (and then backing up the user data repository)
   

What are the most important pros or cons as you see them? I'm unfortunately not looking for other options. I know some people have issues with folder redirection / offline files, but from reading the issues it seems that a lot of that is...
