I’m trying to confirm that Backup Exec 2012:s GRT and incremental needs to compare the whole vhd file at every backup?
We are trying to backup ~5TB VHD with GRT/incremental and it:s to slow...
(Our hyper-v environment, 4 hosts , every has host 1 Gb management/backup, 1+1 Gb MPIO to san, 1 Gb CVS, san is 10Gb to san switch)
When searching around it looks like Veem, DPM etc has implemented some custom CBT solution in the hypervisor? If this is the case, can I expect the backup window to be significantly shorter?
Or am I approaching this wrong way? It there better way to do this?
Anyone with some insight that can enlighten me
