What, in everyone's experience is the best Backup application for backing up files at a file-level and also backing up Exchange 2010 in the most granular means possible.
We currently use Backup Exec 2012 running on one of our VMs, backing up our file server using a UNC to a QNAP NAS for the file backups and an entire local drive (slowclap for the BEX engineers there) for the Exchange GRT backup because they don't official support reasonably priced QNAPs.
One issue is I've built a 'Backup Server' - a HP N36L running a RAID 10 - and, of course, BEX wants to eat up entire drive partitions. I had a play around partitioning the drive into slabs for BEX to play nicely locally, but I don't think that's going to work, so I'm currently using the VM to run BEX and using the N36L as the remote file store via UNCs.
This, of course, is hardly ideal -...
