Installing Unitrends Agent on Ubuntu Server 12.04

Hey all,

I just got my new Unitrends Appliance and I'm setting up all my backups. I found that a couple of my VMs running databases, mysql or MSSQL, don't like to be snapshotted and after reading some Unitrends KB articles it seems to be a best practice to install the agent and treat it like a physical machine. I'mOK with that but I'm having issues installing it on Ubuntu 12.04 since "dpkg --add-architecture i386" isn't supported on this version of Ubuntu. I was following this KB http://support.unitrends.com/ikm/questions.php?questionid=821. I've done everything else in this article except the "dpkg --add-architecture i386" command and I get this error when I try to run the agent installer.

root@owncloud:~# ./lnx32_cnt.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Unitrends Linux Agent..........
You must install the package that provides a 32-bit version of libpam.so.0

Dependencies for Unitrends Agent must be installed before proceeding with installation.

Any help is appreciated.
