So I currently have a home workgroup that has about 7 client computers, and a server running 2008R2.
I would like to spin up a VM to use as a backup server that will backup/image all the client computers to the NAS, and then also backup/image the NAS to a eUSB drive. It needs to have the ability to encrypt and compress also.
Can someone point me in the right direction for software that is reasonably priced or free. (enterprise options like Acronis, or Shadowprotect at $300+ isn't feasible for a home system)
I've tried Windows Server Backup and it won't let me store to an external drive unless I want to overwrite the backup every time I run it.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
